- A Mac running Leopard (OS X 10.5.3 or later)
- Become a registered iPhone/iPod Touch developer. (You can do this by going to the iPhone Developers website.)
- The iPhone SDK. (You will be able to download this once you become a registered developer and sign in to your account.)
- Xcode, which is Apple's IDE (Integrated Development Environment).
Once you have gathered the required hardware and registered for the Developer program you are ready to start.
